Crossogue Stud is a family run boutique breeding and racing farm in the heart of Tipperary. Your hosts, Mark Molloy and his team are passionate about all things racing and will take you on the journey with their horses from “in utero” to the racecourse and all the nurturing in between for these wonderful, majestic animals.
Located in the heart of the Golden Vale, the Fethard Horse Country Experience offers visitors the opportunity to discover the rich culture, heritage and history of the region. Part of Ireland’s Ancient East, this interactive experience examines the relationship between the people, the land and the horse revealing how they are all inextricably linked.
Spread out over two floors within the 17th century Tholsel building, the engaging nature of the exhibition makes it an enjoyable and informative activity for all ages. This immersive experience truly sets the scene for your private tour of Coolmore Stud Farm which is situated in the heart of the Golden Vale on over 7,000 prime acres of Ireland’s finest limestone land providing the perfect environment for breeding and raising thoroughbreds.
Accompanied by your dedicated Equine Concierge, you will be able to enter through the hallowed gates of Coolmore Stud and experience life at one of the world’s largest and most successful thoroughbred racehorse breeding operations. Farrier – Meet Joe Channon, a thirdgeneration farrier (based in Clonmel). Joe will demonstrate the ancient craft of a farrier. You’ll experience the rich traditions, techniques and raw materials in this unique hands-on experience.
